Visit Capri – Luxury Island

The island of Capri is one of the most popular tourist destinations not only in Campania but around the world.

The Resort offers its guests the opportunity to reach the island directly from the Bourbon pier of Villa Favorita which can be accessed through the gardens of the eighteenth-century villa. Inside the villa, there is free parking for those arriving by car. Alternatively, there is our private free shuttle transfer from the Resort to the Villa Favorita, just 3 km from “Il San Cristoforo”.

In Capri, you can choose to walk aimlessly in the streets of the center, take a boat and discover hidden coves, recall the glorious past of the island between the archaeological remains of Villa Jovis, green hike to Monte Solaro or along the Migliera. Few places offer geography of emotions so varied. Few places can boast a mix of myth and nature as the Faraglioni, the Grotta Azzurra, the Arco Naturale.

The most important place to visit in Capri during your excursion:

  • Monte Solaro and Cetrella: the walk takes just over an hour only if you stop using the chair lift to Monte Solaro, from 2 to 4 hours if you decide to reach the hermitage of Cetrella.
  • La Scala Fenicia: it was the only road link between the port of Marina Grande and Anacapri, the common “top” of the Island of Capri. Today there are 921 steps to climb along to admire the view of Capri in all its glory.
  • The Walk of Pizzolungo: along the trail, you can see different shades of the island landscape with Faraglioni and the Sorrentine Peninsula viewed from a perspective less known.
  • The Museums of Capri Villa San Michele; La casa rossa; Il centro Caprense; la Certosa di San Giacomo.
  • La Grotta Azzurra is known throughout the world for the intense blue color of its waters.
  • The Villas of Tiberius: the first stage is the Villa Jovis.

After about 40 minutes you will be able to see the outline of the excavations. Immediately before you get to the ruins of Villa Jovis, one can visit the Park Astarita, a succession of terraces overlooking the sea between the rich Mediterranean vegetation and ancient pines. From Villa Jovis, one can observe the entire Gulf of Naples, the island of Ischia, Procida, the Sorrento Peninsula and the Gulf of Salerno to the lands of the Cilento.
