The Park

Over 100 kind of plants

Surrounded by 40.000mq of the park, Resort “Il San Cristoforo” is an oasis adjacent to the Vesuvius National Park.

Along the main avenue, signed by a double row first of holm oaks and then of elms and cypress poplars, you’ll see two scenarios in front of which the view is lost: two secular pines and Naples in the background.

To the south the hill, characterized by a slow ascent path from the swimming pool, allows you to reach the parking lots and offer alternation of sunny and shaded areas.

A flow of water visually connects the sculpture “Ianua” with the entrance of the structure which symbolizes the lava flow of 1944. In this area “Il Giardino Lilla” was designed, in the shade of cypress and willow poplars and surrounded by the sounds of the terminal waterfall, an ideal place to stop and read and get in touch with nature and the magma of our land,

To the north, the hill is marked by curvilinear paths highlighted with ground cover vegetation, a dense forest perimeter, and a reading corner immersed in the green and made unique by the permanent artistic installation “Vorago”.

The swimming pool, next to the hotel, is hidden by a dune in “Mediterranean scrub”, which with carob and cork trees guarantees privacy and relaxation.

You can admire views of the Somma-Vesuvius mount, specifically conceived in association with the design of the slopes of the southern hill. Beside, the gazebo is endowed with privacy deriving from escarpments always treated with large mass shrubs and shored up by groups of lime trees and holm oaks, while the southern area is affected by the recovery of the pre-existing lemon grove.

The park of “Il San Cristoforo” is an Architecture and Landscape scholarship program.
